Thursday 18 June 2015 at 6:30pm

I will be performing a solo recital in the St. David’s Room at King’s College London of contemporary works including the UK premiere of Fantasy for Mary by Gregory Rose.

Sally Beamish – Evening Lament

Paul Burnell – 3 Plain Pieces

Cheryl Frances-Hoad – Song Without Words

Helen Grime – Harp of the North

Gabriel Jackson – Angelorum

Rob Keeley – A Little Passacaglia and Pentango

Joanna Lee – Atta and Hopper

Gregory Rose – Fantasy for Mary (UK Premiere)

Dave Smith – Dream Rotation Mark 2

Gregory Rose writes “This piece was composed in memory of Mary Stroman, whodied so tragically in January 2014, at the tender age of 16. Although I never met Mary, what I’ve heard about her paints a picture of a very funny, quirky but caring young lady, who loved animals and her family, but who also had moments of sadness. I hope my piece reflects some of these traits. The piece somehow became jazzy at times – reflecting the wonderful life of her father, the jazz composer and conductor Scott Stroman, a good friend of some forty years. The piece is a tribute and a reflection.
