Natalie Bleicher is a classical pianist and composer living in Hertfordshire. She has a particular passion for contemporary music and performs new works regularly.
Natalie’s solo CD Dream Rotation features premiere recordings by British composers Sally Beamish, Paul Burnell, Cheryl Frances-Hoad, Rob Keeley, Joanna Lee and Dave Smith. In 2018 Natalie was selected to perform in a BBC Radio 3 lunchtime concert for International Women’s Day. In 2019 she performed with Lontano ensemble in a CD of works by Jennifer Fowler and the world premiere of Odaline de la Martinez’s opera Imoinda. In 2021 she was rehearsal pianist for the UK premiere of the opera As One by Laura Kaminsky. She gives solo recitals of contemporary and standard repertoire in venues throughout London and Hertfordshire.
Natalie is the regular accompanist for Fortune Green Choir in West Hampstead and occasional accompanist for several other choirs. She plays for weekly Mini Mozart baby classes in St Albans and regularly accompanies grade and diploma exams. She teaches piano both privately and at York House School in Sarratt.
As a composer Natalie has written examination pieces for piano, electronic keyboard and harp which have featured on the Trinity Guildhall syllabus. Her flexibly-scored work Thalassa is published by CoMA in its Open Score anthology. In 2022 she was selected for the ABRSM Composers mentoring scheme to further develop her work writing music for education.
